Clinical Pilates in Melbourne

Precision movement. Clinical expertise. Stronger foundations.
At Health104 in Middle Park, our Clinical Pilates sessions are built to help you move better, build strength, and develop a body that performs with greater control and confidence. Each session combines evidence-based movement principles with the controlled resistance of the Reformer, tailored to your body, your movement capacity and your goals. Whether you are returning from injury, managing persistent pain, working on posture or pushing your physical performance further, the focus is strength and mobility that carries beyond the studio.
The Reformer is one of the most effective tools in rehabilitation and high-performance training, but only when the programming is built around the individual. Every Health104 session is guided by coaches who understand how the body moves, where it compensates, and what it takes to rebuild it properly.

Key Benefits

Our Clinical Pilates sessions in Middle Park are built to improve strength, mobility and movement quality, whether you are recovering from injury or training for performance.

Builds strength where it matters

Targeted work through the deep stabilising muscles of the core, hips and spine to improve control, posture, balance and movement quality, with impact kept low and movement kept controlled.

Improves how your body moves

Precise, intentional exercises develop mobility, coordination, flexibility and body awareness, so you move more efficiently in everyday life, in training and in sport.

Rehabilitation that meets performance

Sessions sit between clinical rehabilitation and athletic conditioning, so the same approach suits someone working back from surgery and someone clearing a long-standing movement limitation.

Personalised to you

Sessions run one to one or two to one, so every movement can be adapted to your ability, experience and goals, connecting strength, mobility, breath and control in the same session.

Clinical Pilates for Recovery and Rehabilitation

Sessions sit alongside your broader training plan, whether Clinical Pilates is your main focus or runs beside strength and conditioning at our Middle Park studio. Every session is built around what your body needs now, and progresses as your capacity does. Move better. Build stronger. Stay active for longer.

Who Clinical Pilates is for

  • Anyone returning from injury who wants a structured, clinically guided return to movement
  • People managing ongoing back pain, joint instability or postural concerns alongside their existing care
  • Athletes addressing movement compensations and building deep stability for sport
  • Anyone running Reformer Pilates alongside one-to-one personal training or strength and conditioning at Health104
  • Anyone new to the Reformer who wants low-impact strength work that can be adapted around existing conditions

Our approach to Clinical Pilates

  • Clinical programming: every session is built around your anatomy, injury history and current capacity rather than a set class format
  • Performance integration: sessions connect to your broader training goals instead of sitting in isolation
  • Progressive and purposeful: load, range and complexity increase as your strength, control and confidence develop

What Our Customers Are Saying

I love Lou's pilates class, it's always a great workout and she gives good clear instructions and also helps adjusting our moves to ensure we're doing them correctly. I've done a lot of classes where the instructors don't do this, so I really appreciate that she does. Classes are small, so it's less divided attention, to get advice and also adjustments when needed :)

Sessions suit a wide range of people, from those in the early stages of injury recovery through to athletes using Reformer work to address a specific movement limitation. They also suit anyone new to the Reformer, because the programming starts from a movement assessment rather than a set class level. If you are managing ongoing pain or working back from surgery, talk to us about whether these sessions fit alongside your current care.
Standard Reformer classes follow a set format adapted to the group taking part. Clinical Pilates at Health104 is built entirely around the individual, with programming informed by your injury history, movement assessment and specific goals. Clinical Reformer Pilates describes the same work delivered on the Reformer, and guidance is continuous through the session rather than class-led instruction given to several people at once.
Yes, and many people do. Reformer work addresses the deep stabilising and alignment demands that heavier training can expose over time, which makes it a practical complement to a strength or conditioning program running at the same time.
Sessions are available in 30-minute and 60-minute formats at our Middle Park studio. A 30-minute session is $90 and a 60-minute session is $150, in a private one-to-one or semi-private two-person setting. Contact us to discuss which format suits your goals and your schedule.
