FAQs

What inspired you to get into this profession?

I went to a psychic and she said “You need to start working with your hands”. Despite never considering this, those words resonated within me and before I knew it I’d booked a weekend massage course and signed up for my first Reiki training. I guess things just took off from there!

What are your areas of special interest or expertise?

My favourite areas to work in (and which I think my treatments best suit) are Acute & Chronic Stress, Chronic Pain and Chronic Conditions and Mental Health Support.

Do you have any particular treatment philosophies or approaches?

I like to work holistically and alongside other practitioners and also like to empower my clients to care about themselves well. Along the journey the support you need might vary but the one constant should be the care and support you give yourself. As you listen more to yourself it will become clearer what it is you actually need.

Are there specific techniques, tools, or modalities you regularly use?

Reiki is a big one for me as it can help shift things in the body when massage techniques are’nt working. When it comes to massage I think of myself as more of a Bodyworker and use different techniques depending on what the body needs and how it’s responding. I think I do my best work when I’m present and listening to the body and then the massage/healing just happens naturally.

What types of clients or concerns do you most enjoy working with?

I like helping people release stresses and traumas from the body and supporting them by bringing balance back to their energy system. The clients I like to work with are everyday people who might be feeling overwhelmed, stressed or burnt out.

Favourite quote or philosophy you live by?

“The failing’s not the falling down but the staying down”. It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes or take wrong turns along the journey, you just have to remember that things can always change and you always get another opportunity. Be willing to learn and grow and make positive changes. It can be scary but it’s definitely worth it to find that courage!

“The greatest gift you can give the Universe is to be who you really are”. Too often we compare ourselves to others and miss seeing ourselves in our true light. We all have our own unique gifts and energies that we bring to the Earth and the more you let yourself be you, the happier you will be. Being authentic brings you the greatest blessings

A fun or surprising fact about you?

I sang with John Farnham when I was younger. I was part of a choir that was supporting him on You’re the Voice. He was my favourite singer at the time and I’m still a fan now!

Any hobbies or passions outside of work?

Walking barefoot on the beach, yoga/meditation, rebounding, drumming, singing and watching Melbourne AFL/AFLW!

What do you love most about your work?

Being able to create a safe space for people and supporting them on their journey. I love seeing their courage and growth and watching them make positive change.
