Rhoy has been working as a dietitian since 2020, and is recognised as an Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia. He is currently working predominantly in private practice, across a range of GP clinics in the Greater Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat regions, whilst also acting as a dietitian consultant across a number of residential aged care facilities.
In private practice, he works predominantly in chronic disease management (including diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, along with additional medical conditions – see below*) and weight management (loss or gain), whilst also having keen interests to further upskill in areas including gut health, for which he has completed additional training in regards to the practical implementation of the Low FODMAP diet to help treat Irritable Bowel Syndrome, along with sports nutrition for which he has been an Associate Member of Sports Dietitians Australia.
Rhoy’s overall philosophy centres around patient centred care, by empowering people with the nutrition knowledge they need to understand how nutrition can support any pre-existing medical conditions. His main goal is to ensure people leave consultations with the ability to make the most informed nutrition choice, whilst also working on developing targeted strategies that aligns with their nutritional needs and preferences.
Rhoy is currently accepting both patients under a GP management plan, for which patients are able to claim a substantial rebate through Medicare, whilst also taking on patients with private health insurance. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face consultations are currently limited to those who are severely malnourished, and those with known eating disorders, therefore currently telephone, and video consults are preferred.
Rhoy is currently servicing Health 104 in Middle Park on Mondays fortnightly between 9-12:30pm, and Wednesdays weekly between 9am-12:30pm. Please contact reception to confirm a booking time, otherwise bookings can be made through HotDoc at https://www.health104.com.au/
