After a physical examination by the doctor, if a skin cancer is suspected, a biopsy will be performed to confirm the doctor’s diagnosis. A biopsy is a quick and simple procedure where part or all of the lesion is removed. The biopsy will then be sent away to a lab to confirm the doctor’s diagnosis. These results will take approximately one week to receive.
