After a physical examination by the doctor, if a skin cancer is suspected, a biopsy will be performed to confirm the doctor’s diagnosis.  A biopsy is a quick and simple procedure where part or all of the lesion is removed.  The biopsy will then be sent away to a lab to confirm the doctor’s diagnosis.  These results will take approximately one week to receive.

The doctor will consider the best treatment options based on your age and general health, the type and size of cancer, where it is on your body. We provide:

The good news is it can be prevented.  Most skin cancers can be treated if they are detected early.  It is recommended that you have a professional skin check every 12 months.
